My name is Darren and I am a Celebrant based in Angus in Scotland. I'm not your average Celebrant...I'll tell your story whilst wearing a pair of Doc Martens and a Pocket Watch (and a suit of course, I'm not needing to be giving anyone a fright!). If it helps, I'm a massive Disney geek with a passion for musical theatre and a massive Steps fan!

 

I absolutely LOVE having the privilege to help couples and families mark those significant milestones in life. Whether it be a happy and joyous day like a Wedding or a Naming Day, or a challenging chapter such as a Funeral/Life Ceremony. I am always willing to make it as special, fun and banterous as you envisage your moment in life to be!

 

Ever since I was a little boy, I found myself loving the theatre and arts, so my love of speaking/performing in front of large crowds has definitely given me the banterful and cheery voice a Ceremony needs to bring a story to life...some would call it a Storyteller, my granny says it's being "full o' patter"!

 

Before becoming a Celebrant, I worked in healthcare for 16 years.  This gave me a vast experience in supporting families and loved ones in the most difficult and upsetting times, especially when a loved one passes. Empathy and support always stays with you and I'm proud to have this experience to share, whilst focusing on Celebrating their life achievements and special memories.

 

A Naming Ceremony is the Welcoming of your Child into this world....let's celebrate that in style! Let's celebrate Parenthood (even though a sleepless night or two has occurred) and their fantastic personalities they are already magnificently sharing with the world!

 

EVERYBODY SAY LOVE!  Being a proud member of the LGBT community means love is love! Let's Celebrate that for everyone!
